"DEREK and CAMERON follows the lives of an unconventional male couple and their friends and extended families."
Here TV, America’s only premium LGBT TV network, will broadcast Branden Blinn’s series DEREK and CAMERON starting this Friday.
The Web series has been redeveloped for traditional television and includes a new 25-minute episode - the season finale - that’s sure to both excite and stun the show’s sizable fan base.
DEREK and CAMERON follows the lives of an unconventional male couple and their friends and extended families.
Funny, sarcastic, passionate, and oftentimes unnerving, DEREK and CAMERON seeks to prove that love, honesty, and communication make a relationship flourish, while labels and social identities conceal the truth of the heart.
Acquisition of the series reflects a programming shift for Here TV.
The network’s expanded mission is to serve a truly LGBT audience. DEREK and CAMERON portrays a unique relationship rarely seen on TV: one between a bisexual and a gay man.
"Here TV is very excited to be working with Branden Blinn, a genuine and talented show creator,” says John Mongiardo, SVP, Programming Operation for Here TV. “Our collaboration brings a new, exclusive episode of Derek & Cameron to the Here TV audience, presenting romance and sexual fluidity in a provocative TV series format."
Says Branded Blinn:
“I am excited to be working with Here TV, as it demonstrates their capacity to expand their audience. Their programming team has been insightful and trusting, allowing me full creative expression. My hope is that we together can bring forth something far-reaching that will represent the broader LGBTQ community."
