Team Canada Womens dodgeball of the Canadian Dodgeball Association, will make history in Las Vegas, Nevada this weekend and will be another step towards inclusion in the world of sports.

With so many more Transgender people coming out, along with one of the highest profile athletes in history Caitlyn Jenner recently and proudly proclaiming herself to be transgender.

Competitive sports are at a crucial point in time with respect to providing appropriate guidelines for participation for Transgender athletes.

"My goal would be, through my participation and visibility, that other Trans people especially Trans youth feel they are able to participate at any sport they choose and will be welcomed by their respective governing organizations. Governing organizations have an obligation to provide welcoming, safe, and inclusive environments for all athletes." said Savannah Burton. Member of Team Canada and Professional actress.

History will be made at Tarkanian Basketball Academy located at 2730 S Rancho Dr, Las Vegas, NV on Saturday August 15, 2015 with the first round of matches beginning at 10:30am Pacific time and concluding on Sunday August 16 for the medal rounds.

Countries participating in the WDBF World Dodgeball Federation World Championships August 15-16th include France, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mexico, United States and Canada.

Media are invited to attend throughout the days of Saturday and Sunday August 15-16 starting at 10am.
