Main Document

The transgender symbol is a pictogram consisting of a circle with an arrow sprouting from the top-right side, a cross at the bottom, and a stroked arrow at the top left side.

The trans symbol is made up of the female (Venus) symbol, the male (Mars) symbol, and the androgyne (Venus and Mars mixed). This symbol was designed in the 1990s by Holly Boswell, Wendy Parker, and Nancy R. Nangeroni sometime in the 1990s. The transgender symbol also indicates gender inclusivity.
